Monster 2nd Inning Leads Lady Warriors Past Millville

Canton used an 11-run second inning to roll past Millville, 15-0, in five innings during non-league softball action.

Tara Gilbert got the start and allowed just one hit and no walks with four strikeouts to get the win.

They had 10 hits as a team, with Rylin Graham (2-for-2) getting a double, two runs scored, and 4-RBI, while Addi Pepper (2-for-3) had a triple with a run scored, and an RBI.

Nevaeh Vroman (2-for-2) scored twice and drove in a run as Adriane Katona (2-for-2) also had 2-RBI.

Gilbert (1-for-1) had a double, two walks, two runs scored, and 2-RBI with Alyssa May (1-for-3) getting 2-RBI with a run scored.

Jaylee Ward and Tiffany Acla each crossed home twice, with Chelsea Lehman also scoring.
